• "for fear of..." is a idiom that means "in order to avoid looking feminine"
• use this idiom when you want to explain why something is or isn't done.
• ex: 1. Johnny is afraid of getting stuck traffic on his way to the airport.
  We can say: Johnny decided to go to the airport early for fear of getting stuck in traffic.
  2. Karen doesn't want to leave her office because she is waiting for an important phone call.
  We can say: Karen doesn't want to leave her office for fear of missing an important phone call.

1. feminine 女性特有的，女子般的，通常表示溫柔的，纖弱的 - usually refers to traditional qualities that females have in the positive sense
   
2. female 女性的，雌性的，通常用來表示人類、動物、植物的性別 (相對: male) - "female" is very ..., and used to show the sex about of person or animal or plant (in contrast with "male")
   
3. womanly 相對於"girly"，指成人女人般的 - is often used to distingulished adult female from a girl, a womanly figure compare to a girlish figure in the postive sence

   - is not used very often, but is the same thing as "womanly"

   - is very different, because we use most often to refer to something that is not human, ex: manlike monkey
